Surface Pattern Portfolio
This portfolio showcases original hand-drawn surface pattern collections. Each design is professionally built as vector artwork, allowing for easy scaling, recolouring and adaptation across a wide range of products. Collections are available for UK licensing or collaborative development.
The Sweet Smell
Fresh florals and garden life inspired by the scent of summer flowers.
The Sweet Smell is inspired by the delicate fragrance of summer flowers carried on warm countryside air. Roses, small blossoms, and graceful botanical stems are paired with tiny ladybirds and soft garden details, creating a collection that feels light, fresh, and full of quiet garden life.
Where my patterns begin
Each collection begins with hand-drawn sketches or watercolour studies, which I then develop into vector surface patterns. Working this way allows the artwork to retain its painterly, organic character while remaining flexible for professional production, recolouring and licensing.
My designs are inspired by the English countryside, garden planting and the quiet rhythm of the seasons. My work is also shaped by my Christian faith, which influences the sense of beauty, care and seasonal rhythm that often appears within my patterns.
I enjoy collaborating with brands to refine colour palettes and adjust scale so the designs integrate naturally within a product range.
A Late Summer Garden
A warm, sun-softened garden as summer gently fades into autumn.
A Late Summer Garden captures the quiet beauty of gardens at the end of the season, when foliage is full and flowers soften into warm, sun-washed tones. Trailing vines, delicate florals, and scattered botanicals reflect the relaxed abundance of late summer borders and hedgerows.
Cottage Blooms
A joyful celebration of flowers, bees, and the relaxed beauty of cottage gardens.
Cottage Blooms celebrates the cheerful abundance of traditional cottage gardens, where flowers grow freely and bees drift between blossoms. The collection features trailing florals, wildflower motifs, and light botanical details inspired by plants commonly found climbing through hedgerows and garden borders.
A new collection in development
A fourth coordinated collection is currently in development. Inspired by the heritage charm of an English cottage garden, the first pattern features drifting floral bouquets of soft roses, meadow flowers and airy foliage — a gentle, romantic design that offers a glimpse of the collection still to come.
